Web-Toilet

Web Toilet is a design blogg made for shitting on the "web 2.0 look". It also contains the personal thoughts and ideas of the author, Tor Máhtte Eira Mathisen. Web Toilet will show sites that people think are "beautiful", but in fact they're butt ugly. The "web 2.0 look" is a disease. Together we can fight them off! Web Toilet will also showcase some of the best built sites, and also the most talented designers in the bussiness. Why do they not bend to the trends? I love this design.

    Well, yes. Now it’s week 11, and it’s time for a personal note too. I’ve just started a new forum, namely 59. A design forum, that is. It’s not up yet, since we’re working on a new theme.

    Now then, to the sites!

    Rollmio

    Rollmio Has, of course, the damned reflect, as well as those damned badges. Do I even have to mention the gradient? The idea behind the site is quite good, though.

    BAAGZ

    BAAGZ has those soft, rounded edges, sheen on some of the buttons, scanlines and of course that.. Thing in the top, lefthand corner. The idea behind the site ain’t that new either.

    Shinyletter

    Shinyletter of COURSE has that reflect. On pretty much everything. Soft, beleved edges, sheen and that soft outer glow/drop shadow effect. Not nice. I’m not sure about the idea behind the site either. Looks like a webpage where you can send a letter.. What the hell.

    Liquidplanner

    AAH MY EYES! Look at the color palete on the header! And, they have that damned smiling-person picture trend too.

    ZaaBiz

    ZaaBiz. Oh god. Reflect, soft edges.. And that SMILING PERSON!

    Well, it’s been quite fun starting up a new blog, a design blog at that. And so far, I’ve had 1000 unique visitors, most of them in february. And, one day it exploded when someone put my site on Stumble Upon.
